I've become so spoiled by Stampin' Up!'s colors. The fact that they match the ink and ribbon perfectly makes paper crafting so much easier, and there is such variety and they are so incredibly rich!!! The first card uses Orchid Opulence (quite an under-utilized color in my stash), with Elegant Eggplant and Certainly Celery.
#2 features one of my favorite combos - Elegant Eggplant and Almost Amethyst, #3 - Rich Razzleberry and Melon Mambo. And the thing I really like about these cards - three great layouts that are easy to tweak with other images and colors!

This Sale-a-Bration freebie choice (Happy Moments) is one of my favorites. It has 4 cute images, and 3 great sentiments. I've only just begun to explore its potential:0) I know I use that expression a lot...Here are a few I've done so far. The second one is an (almost exact) version of Julie Davison's card. She is another Stampin' Up! demonstrator I know. We met in Hawaii on the Stampin' Up! trip last spring. She has a daughter a couple weeks older than my little guy, and she had brought her along too:0)
That's my opinion anyway! This stamp set is so versatile and elegant. Hope you enjoy these samples!
The first one is inspired by Lisa Freeman. The last one is gold embossing (with the Occasions mini wheel that coordinates with Vintage Vogue) on Stampin' Up!'s brushed gold cardstock, (so simple), and it looks awesome in real life! Happy New Year! I know this title might seem random, but I've been stampin' up a storm at my stampin' desk lately, and this is the beginning of what I'll be showing you over the next few months:0) The polar bears are made with punches, and were inspired by a card I saw on Lynn Pratt's blog. Her polar bear card is a holiday card. My version is more of a Valentine card, for a kid from a parent:0)
The second card is the first of about 20 cards I've already made with Vintage Vogue, a stamp set in the Occasions Mini catalog, due to go live Jan. 5, along with an almost 3 month-long 2010 Sale-a-Bration promotion! I told my Philly Inkers it's the stamp set I've been waiting for all my life and didn't know it!
Card 1: Snow Buddies (hostess) stamp set. I am really loving the Bashful Blue and Elegant Eggplant together! Perfect for January when Christmas colors are over, but we're not quite ready for summer stamping:0) I would have never thought to add legs to the snowman, which works great for the ice skates - I think I may have seen Jill R. do that at the last card club where we used this stamp set:0)
Card 2: Patterned Pines and Four the Holidays stamps. The paisley images have some highlighting in them, thanks to a tip from Dawn Griffith's blog!
Card 3: Delightful Decorations in Certainly Celery and Real Red
Card 4: Seasons of Simple Grace stamp set, stamped in Chocolate Chip, (Kraft cardstock and white gel pen border - so simple!)
Card 5: designed by Dana Marston, from the last Philly Inkers shoebox swap
There is still time to make some cards, even if it's just a few:0) No guilt trip there though!
These first 4 are from various Philly Inkers swaps last week. Wreath: Lynn; Dahser in Moonlight: Gina; Christmas lights: Lynn; Purple Medallion: Ann Marie. Then comes a card designed by Juliana for a make and take a while back. I love the effect of sponging on the ornaments. Then comes a card I cased from Heather - an easy way to make a tree card that really packs a punch!
THEN comes a card I actually BOUGHT! Can you believe it? First card I've bought in years, unless I count Ilina's grab bag sale last fall :0) See below for details...
And now for something completely different....this is a card designed by Catherine Boyd, the sister of Gloria who I saw on Wed. at a lovely luncheon for a stampers group in Mt. Airy. She prints the faces on the computer, and then embellishes them with feathers, rhinestones, etc. Isn't it so cool? Stampin' Up! used to carry a set that was this style, but it has been retired a while now.
Tee hee! You thought I was making up a new Stampin' Up! cardstock color, huh? I was just seeing if you were paying attention.
I love Kraft paper. It's so rustic and economical. This first card is a pocket card inspired by something I saw on SCS. I simplified it, so I could get two card bases out of an 8.5 x 11. We made it in Card Club this week too. When you pull the ribbon, the little 3x5 card comes out and you can see the whole snowman. He's from "Snow Buddies," a level 2 hostess set, available only until Jan. 4! I just realized that would make a really fun Christmas photo card template, if you put a real photo in the pocket, with the window revealing a kid's face or a pet!
The next two cards were from a shoebox swap I attended a couple weeks ago - designed by Jill and Lynn, in my Philly Inkers group (Jersey side). The last card is also from Card Club, and is very much inpsired by a card Ann Marie swapped last month for the Philly Inkers meeting. Love the versatility of that ornament! And who doesn't love how the paper pops when you use an embossing folder. This one, Petals-a-Plenty, is available through Jan. 4.
