More Easy Christmas Cards...

Card 1: Snow Buddies (hostess) stamp set. I am really loving the Bashful Blue and Elegant Eggplant together! Perfect for January when Christmas colors are over, but we're not quite ready for summer stamping:0) I would have never thought to add legs to the snowman, which works great for the ice skates - I think I may have seen Jill R. do that at the last card club where we used this stamp set:0)
Card 2: Patterned Pines and Four the Holidays stamps. The paisley images have some highlighting in them, thanks to a tip from Dawn Griffith's blog!
Card 3: Delightful Decorations in Certainly Celery and Real Red
Card 4: Seasons of Simple Grace stamp set, stamped in Chocolate Chip, (Kraft cardstock and white gel pen border - so simple!)
Card 5: designed by Dana Marston, from the last Philly Inkers shoebox swap

Happy Card Making!

There is still time to make some cards, even if it's just a few:0) No guilt trip there though!

These first 4 are from various Philly Inkers swaps last week. Wreath: Lynn; Dahser in Moonlight: Gina; Christmas lights: Lynn; Purple Medallion: Ann Marie. Then comes a card designed by Juliana for a make and take a while back. I love the effect of sponging on the ornaments. Then comes a card I cased from Heather - an easy way to make a tree card that really packs a punch!

THEN comes a card I actually BOUGHT! Can you believe it? First card I've bought in years, unless I count Ilina's grab bag sale last fall :0) See below for details...

 

 

 

 

And now for something completely different....this is a card designed by Catherine Boyd, the sister of Gloria who I saw on Wed. at a lovely luncheon for a stampers group in Mt. Airy. She prints the faces on the computer, and then embellishes them with feathers, rhinestones, etc. Isn't it so cool? Stampin' Up! used to carry a set that was this style, but it has been retired a while now.  

Other uses for Christmas stamps and Petals-a-Plenty embossing folder

The first two cards feature the Petals-a-Plenty embossing folder - I wanted to make them an alternate flower from the poinsettias, and it works! The vase card was made by Sue T. She stamped an ornament from the "Delightful Decorations" stamp set, cut off the bottom, and make the other images in the set become flowers for the "vase." What a versatile stamp set!

The last card I made with "Holiday Best," a hostess stamp set. I love how the embossing plate matches the image in that stamp.

Extra Special Christmas Card Samples!

Not to wish fall away, but I hope these Christmas cards inspire your weekend stamping! I know I won't be stamping this weekend - I'll be in a wedding! My dear sister is getting hitched. It's a good thing too, I'm getting dusty durango'd out:0) We have used that color over and over - invites, favors, placecards, etc., etc., etc. It's been really fun to paper craft for the wedding.

So card 1 is from the Fall Fest event I attended in Sept. We had a lesson in sponging/masking with expert Michelle Zindorf. The last three I made, using Serene Snowflakes from the Holiday mini catalog.

Loads of Love and Holiday Cheer

Melissa used Real Red, Kraft and Always Artichoke card stock for this card. I like how rustic it feels :0)

Snow, Snow, Snow

Doesn't this card make you think of the movie White Christmas, with Bing Crosby? I love it!! It's a Kristin creation. She used the Snow wheel and some of that Kiwi Kiss satin ribbon.

Season of Friendship

Tara, of my Philly Inkers, made this card. I love the shading she applied on the bottom for the snow. And the simple, subtle snowflakes in silver. What an easy card to mass produce for Christmas!
